India begin their summer tour of England this week. The Cricketer has all the details of the first of three series...

WHAT IS IT?

The International T20 series between England and India.

WHERE IS IT TAKING PLACE?

The series comprises of three matches, starting with a clash at Old Trafford on Tuesday evening (5.30pm start).

From there it’s on to Cardiff on Friday evening (5.30pm start) before the series culminates in Bristol on Sunday afternoon (2pm start).

WHO IS PLAYING?

England have named a 14-man squad for the three-match series, minus Ben Stokes who is currently recovering from a hamstring tear. The Curran brothers - Sam and Tom - are included, while Dawid Malan has been added for the first game as injury cover.

England squad: Eoin Morgan, Moeen Ali, Jonny Bairstow, Jake Ball, Jos Buttler, Sam Curran, Tom Curran, Alex Hales, Chris Jordan, Liam Plunkett, Adil Rashid, Joe Root, Jason Roy, David Willey, Dawid Malan

Virat Kohli leads the Indian side, who have recently played two T20s against Ireland in Malahide. Suresh Raina retains his place in the squad.

IS IT ON TV IN THE UK?

Of course. Sky Sports have live coverage of each of the three games on Sky Sports Cricket (channel 404) and Sky Sports Main Event (channel 401).

Test Match Special will carry live radio commentary (DAB: 12B Freeview: 706 Freesat: 706 Sky (UK only): 0144 Virgin Media: 908 Virgin Media Ireland: 928).

WHAT’S THE FORECAST?

Old Trafford will see highs of around 23 degrees Celsius on Tuesday evening with less than five per cent chance of rain.

On Friday, Cardiff will see much the same weather though there may be a hint of cloud in the sky.

Bristol’s forecast for Sunday is a good one again. Warm and generally clear with very little possibility of the wet stuff.

WHAT ARE THE ODDS?

England are a fancied 4-7 with many bookies to win the series. India seem generously priced at 11-8.
