JAMES COYNE - EXCLUSIVE: The Nottinghamshire seamer is one of several players at his county abroad on franchise duty
Jake Ball has signed for the remainder of the ILT20 with Dubai Capitals.
The Cricketer understands that the Nottinghamshire quick bowler received a phone call on Sunday and flew out the following day to join the squad coached by Phil Simmons. He will bolster a seam attack which has looked light on firepower.
Capitals are currently fifth out of six teams in the maiden season of the ILT20 and in need of wins to enter the race for qualification in the lucrative new T20 tournament.
Ball, 31, has been hit by injuries since last appearing for England in any format in 2018.

However, he played a sizeable part in both the Vitality Blast and Hundred last season, and this is his second franchise gig of the winter in the UAE, having played three games for Bangla Tigers in the Abu Dhabi T10 before Christmas.
He joins Joe Root, Dan Lawrence and Ravi Bopara among the English contingent with the Capitals team, which is a sister team of the Delhi Capitals franchise in the IPL.
Notts have players in every one of the four major franchise leagues currently ongoing.
