Brisbane Heat will host Hobart Hurricanes in match 49 of the 2022/23 Big Bash, the 12th edition of the tournament.
The game is scheduled to start at 7pm local time (9am GMT) on Friday, January 20.
The game will be played at the Gabba in Brisbane.
Brisbane Heat are a side on the up. After winning just two matches from nine, they are now on a two-match unbeaten streak after recording back-to-back wins over Adelaide Strikers (17 runs) and Melbourne Stars (three wickets). On the latter occasion, they made it over the line off the final delivery of the match thanks to Matt Renshaw's unbeaten 90 (56). Somewhat against the odds they sit just one point outside the top five.
Hobart Hurricanes are having a mixed campaign, winning five matches from 11 and struggling to string a run of results together. In their most recent outing, they suffered a seven-wicket defeat against defending champions Perth Scorchers.
These two sides are yet to meet in BBL12.

Perth Scorchers did significant damage to Hobart Hurricanes' batting line-up in the opening six overs on Wednesday, with Caleb Jewell, Ben McDermott and Matthew Wade all falling for single-figure scores.
All three players fell to right-arm pace, which bodes well for Brisbane Heat, with Michael Neser, James Bazley and Mark Steketee in their attack. Neser, in particular, has impressed in BBL12, taking a team-leading 15 wickets (including figures of 4 for 25 against Melbourne Stars in his most recent outing).
If the pacers can inflict some early damage, it would put the Heat in a strong position.
It's likely to be wet throughout the day in Brisbane on Friday, so get those Duckworth-Lewis-Stern calculators out.
Mark Steketee is back in contention for Brisbane Heat while Jimmy Peirson is set to make his 100th BBL appearance.
Hobart Hurricanes have named an unchanged 15-strong squad.
