Tryon, an explosive middle-order batter and left-arm spinner, will be available in all competitions until the start of August
Northern Diamonds have signed South Africa international Chloe Tryon.
The allrounder will be available in all formats until the start of August and is in line to make her debut in Saturday's (April 22) season opener against Western Storm at Headingley.
Tryon has featured 186 times for her country since making her debut in 2010, including playing in February's T20 World Cup final against Australia.
An explosive middle-order batter, she boasts a strike rate of 137.21 in T20I cricket while in her List A career, she has scored four centuries and 22 half-centuries. Tryon is also a handy left-arm spinner.
James Carr, Diamonds' director of cricket, said: "Chloe's available from the first game on Saturday through to the start of The Hundred.

"So, she's got a chance to win a T20 trophy, and 10 one-dayers in which to cause some chaos and set us up in the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy for the business end of the year. We're really pleased with that.
"We think, in Chloe, we've got a player who is in form and who everybody wants. She's had a really good T20 World Cup with South Africa, and we're delighted to have her. She's an exciting player who completes a young and talented squad.
"She's one of the form players in world cricket, that's why we've gone for her. We wanted a bit more excitement and pizazz with the bat, in particular, to go alongside the likes of Bess Heath, Lauren Winfield-Hill and Hollie Armitage."
Tryon was due to play for Yorkshire Diamonds in the Kia Super League in 2019 before suffering a knee injury.
In demand in tournaments around the globe, she has previously represented Sydney Thunder, Hobart Hurricanes, Barbados Royals, London Spirit and KwaZulu-Natal among others.
