The former Scotland international and coach will take up the role in mid-October, replacing Laura Marsh
Andy Tennant has been appointed head coach of women's regional side Sunrisers.
The 56-year-old former Scotland international has held several high-performance roles at Cricket Scotland over the years, working across men's and women's cricket, as well as working as head of performance for Scottish Hockey.
He is currently Cricket Scotland's interim men's national performance coach and interim women's assistant coach.

Sunrisers have endured a tough three seasons in the women's regional structure, failing to win a single match in the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy and winning just once in the Charlotte Edwards Cup.
Commenting on his appointment, Tennant said: "I am delighted to be joining the Sunrisers at what is a very exciting time. I am very much looking forward to working in partnership with a talented group of players and staff to develop a winning Sunrisers team, and long-term sustainable success for the region."
Danni Warren, Sunrisers' regional director of women's cricket, added: "I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know Andy throughout the recruitment process and hearing his vision for Sunrisers. His experience across multiple performance roles has brought enormous success, which Sunrisers look forward to tapping into.
"I am very excited to welcome Andy on board and cannot wait to get started with all our players and support staff, the future is very bright."
