The 21-year-old has made 16 appearances for Thunder since 2021 as well as featuring for Lancashire, Cumbria and Manchester Originals

Thunder's Daisy Mullan will spend the first block of Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy matches on loan at The Blaze.

The 21-year-old will be available for five of the first six matches of the season.

She will miss The Blaze's meeting with Thunder at Trent Bridge on May 6.

Mullan has made 16 appearances for Thunder since 2021, including scoring 87 runs in 11 Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy outings and a further 51 runs in five Charlotte Edwards Cup appearances.

Though predominantly a batter, she will also add depth to The Blaze's bowling attack with her right-arm off-spin.

The Blaze head coach, Chris Guest, said: "We're in the unique position of having a number of players unavailable.

"But that opens up opportunities both for players within our existing squad who are well-placed to make a step up, and some from outside, as is the case with Daisy.

"We think it is a good move for both parties. She is a player of great potential who we think can fit in nicely with the existing group, while hopefully she will benefit from game time and exposure to our environment.

"We want to ensure we have a squad which possesses enough depth to be robust and competitive, and ultimately capable of getting the season started on a positive footing, and believe this signing puts us in a better position to do so."
