Were you unable to watch the final at Lord’s? Did you miss Mark Lavelle’s Freddie Flintoff celebration or Simon Gee’s twin sixes? Or do you just fancy reliving Ben Johns’ spectacular boundary catch?

Whatever your reason, we’ve got you covered with comprehensive highlights of the 2021 Voneus Village Cup final.

Held at Lord’s on Sunday, September 19, Calmore Sports Club of Hampshire defeated Alvanley of Cheshire by six wickets to capture their maiden title in front of 1,436 fans.

The Village Cup debutants, aided by rain washing out the final four overs of the first innings, restricted Alvanley to 150 for 7 before recovering from 65 for 4 at the end of the 15th over to chase down their revised 112-run target with seven balls to spare.

Calmore’s Ben Johns picked home the player of the match award, scoring an unbeaten 58 runs from 49 balls to steer his side to an unlikely victory.
