James Bracey has signed a fresh two-year deal with Gloucestershire.
The 23-year-old academy graduate has secured his future at the Bristol club until 2023.
On the peripheral of the England Test team, Bracey has operated as a reserve for each of the last four series and is currently with the team in India.
As a result, many of his competitive outings last term were restricted to the T20 Blast, where he scored 125 runs at 17.85 as Gloucestershire reached Finals Day.
"I’m absolutely delighted to have signed an extension with the club until 2023," said the wicketkeeper-batsman.
"I can’t wait to pull on the Glos shirt again and build on the accomplishments of the last couple of seasons.
"We have a great squad of players and I’m looking forward to getting back to Bristol and getting on the pitch with my teammates.
"Hopefully we can continue to enjoy our cricket and see more success in the next three years."
Interim coach Ian Harvey, who recently replaced Richard Dawson, added: "What he has been able to achieve over the last couple of years has been very impressive, and he has quickly become a senior player in the dressing room.
"The qualities he brings to the side, over and above his ability with the bat and gloves, are a fantastic attitude and some great recent experience in and around the England set-up which he can share with the other lads.
"Keeping your best players gives you the opportunity to challenge and compete in matches and tournaments and ensures that you are moving in the right direction as a club."
