His break is understood to be similar to that of Australia Women captain Meg Lanning, rather than concussion-related
Will Pucovski has taken an indefinite leave of absence from all cricket, citing personal reasons.
The 24-year-old, who has one Test cap for Australia, had made four appearance for Victoria this season, featuring twice in the Sheffield Shield and twice in the Marsh Cup.
He made a strong return to action in September, scoring a half-century – his second in List A cricket – against New South Wales, but followed that knock with scores of 5, 0, 9 and 37.
Pucovski's break is understood to be similar to that of Australia Women captain Meg Lanning rather than concussion-related.
The batter has endured a stop-start career after suffering 11 concussions and also suffered a dislocated shoulder while fielding on his Test debut.

Cricket Victoria's general manager of cricket performance, Graham Manou, said: "Player welfare is always our top priority; we'll continue to work with Will to ensure he gets the support and space he needs and welcome him back when he's ready."
Since making his debut in January 2017, Pucovski has made 29 first-class appearances, scoring 2,008 runs at 48,97, and 14 List A appearances, scoring 333 runs.
In his sole Test appearance, he scored 72 runs, including a half-century, against India in 2021.
He has been replaced in Victoria's Sheffield Shield squad by Ashley Chandrasinghe.
