The left-arm pacer impressed in the powerplay in Karachi Kings' opening clash with Peshawar Zalmi, taking 1 for 13 and also running out Saim Ayub.
However, he only bowled two overs which raised suspicions that he was struggling with an injury.

Confirming the news on Twitter, Karachi Kings said: "Fast bowler Mir Hamza has been ruled out of PSL8 due to a fractured finger.
"Our thoughts are with him, and we wish him a speedy recovery. The Karachi Kings family is with you, Mir!"
The Pakistan bowler was a bright spark in an otherwise frustrating campaign in 2022, taking eight wickets at 14.25 despite playing just four matches.
Over the course of his career, he has taken 52 wickets in 53 T20s.
Left-arm seamer Akif Javed has been confirmed as his replacement.
