The 2022 Lanka Premier League has been confirmed in a three-week slot in July and August.

The third edition of the five-team tournament will run from July 31 until August 21.

Matches will be staged at the RPICS, Colombo, and the MRICS, Hambantota.

A total of 24 games will be played, with the competition draft set to take place in the coming weeks.

"We are extremely happy to announce the third edition of the Lanka Premier League, which has started well its journey toward carving a place in the global T20 League competitions as a formidable tournament," Shammi Silva, Sri Lanka Cricket president, said.

Jaffna Kings won the 2021 LPL, beating Galle Gladiators in the final.
