We’ve all played in ‘that’ game. A victory ground out in the dirt as the shadows lengthened. A match that defined players, wowed spectators and created local folklore.

Unfortunately, these games can quickly become a fading memory as the scorebook rots away in the corner of your clubhouse. The blood, sweat and tears of those famous battles, in danger of being lost to the club forever.

Happily, The Cricketer provide a specialist service that digitises scorebooks and preserves their place in cricket history. As each scorecard is digitally uploaded, all players, umpires and scorers from that match are then linked to individual profiles, to build detailed career records. This information is then displayed on your club website via a web-hosting agreement.

See this Accrington CC example from 1987 featuring David 'Bumble' Lloyd against Sir Vivian Richards.

Our service includes all scanning of scorecards, typing and fact checking to create an accurate online database of your club’s records for eternity. To receive a quote for your club, contact Jim Hindson.

Creating a digital archive is also a fantastic way to generate funds for the club. The archive is property that can be sponsored, and can carry bespoke livery, messaging and HTML links as desired by a sponsor.
