The Nottinghamshire and England left-hander joins fellow-countryman Tom Banton for the 2021-22 competition
Brisbane Heat have added Ben Duckett to their squad as an overseas player ahead of the Big Bash League.
The Nottinghamshire and England left-hander joins fellow-countryman Tom Banton at the franchise.
Duckett has a T20 strike rate of 135.56 and played a vital role in Notts Outlaws winning the 2020 Blast.
He was the second-highest run-score in the men's Hundred, striking 232 in eight innings for Welsh Fire.
Also able to take the gloves, the 26-year-old previously represented Islamabad United and the Nelson Mandela Bay Giants in overseas competitions.
"I’m extremely excited to be joining the Brisbane Heat for the 2021-2022 Big Bash League," he said.
"I know friends and colleagues have told me what a great team environment it is and how passionate the fans are at the Gabba and on the Gold Coast, and I can’t wait to experience this all for myself."

"I’m looking forward to getting out to Brisbane and hopefully helping the team have a great season!"
Head coach Wade Seccombe added: "Ben fits the bill for the type of player we were looking to inject into the Heat squad this season and we’re excited to welcome him to Brisbane. He brings something a little different to what we have had in the squad, being a left-hander who also bats in the top order."
The addition completes Heat's overseas contingent, with Afghanistan's Mujeeb ur Rahman joining Banton and Duckett.
Dan Lawrence is not due to return given he is likely to be part of England's Ashes plans.
Heat are waiting to hear whether Max Bryant, Ben Laughlin and Morne Morkel will return and the identity of their captain is also unknown following Chris Lynn's decision to give up the role.
