SUSANNA SEALY: The former Durham and Leicestershire seamer arrives in Cardiff on the eve of the new campaign
James Weighell has joined Glamorgan on a two-year deal.
The 27-year-old was released by Durham at the end of last season and had a brief loan spell with Leicestershire in 2020.
Weighell, who made his first-class debut in 2015, has taken 96 wickets across all formats during his six-year pro career.
Director of cricket Mark Wallace said: "It’s great news to bring in someone the calibre of James to the club.
"He trialled with us during pre-season and impressed everyone with his all-round game. He’s a very versatile cricketer with pedigree across all formats.
"James will add depth to our squad and bolster our seam bowling options."
"It’s fantastic to be given this opportunity by Glamorgan," added Weighell.
"It’s a new and exciting challenge and I can’t wait to get started and repay the faith the club has put in me.
"Everyone has been extremely welcoming, and I look forward to making Wales my home."
