ENGLAND

Jason Roy (41 & DNB): Started well with a flurry of boundaries and will be disappointed not to have kicked on, top-edging Pandya to Pant following a couple of dot balls. Still his best knock of the home summer. 6

Jonny Bairstow (0 & DNB): Tried to drive Siraj but only succeeded in slicing the ball to mid-off for a three-ball duck. 1

Joe Root (0 & 0-4): Another victim of Siraj's purple patch, edging to second slip for a duck. 1

Ben Stokes (27 & 0-14): A bright start and an important partnership with Roy but was tempted by  Pandya's short balls and fell right into the bowler's trap. Good catch to remove Pandya, even if it was too late. 4

Jos Buttler (60 & DNB): His best knock as full-time captain, anchoring England through a tricky period. Not his best performance with the gloves, however. 6

Moeen Ali (34 & 0-33): A solid performance with the bat but like Roy, failed to kick on. Solid enough in the middle overs with the ball. 6.5

Liam Livingstone (27 & 0-14): A flurry of crowd-pleasing boundaries before attempting one too many and picking out Jadeja. Not the most sensible shot in the circumstances. Expensive with the ball. 4

David Willey (18 & 0-58): Useful partnership with Overton with the bat but very expensive in the second innings. 3

Craig Overton (32 & 1-54): Bit of bash and crash to achieve his ODI high score but failed to capitalise after being dropped on the boundary. Not great with the ball and should have been in position to remove Pandya on six. 4

Brydon Carse (3* & 1-45): Inoffensive with the ball. 6

Reece Topley (0 & 3-35): England's best bowler by the length of a street. Wreaked havoc in the powerplay and pretty inexpensive. 8

INDIA

Rohit Sharma (DNB & 17): Steady enough start with the bat before falling to Topley for a second match in a row. Some good bowling changes and chose wisely at the toss. 5

Shikhar Dhawan (DNB & 1): Not his day. The first of Topley's three victims, slicing to point. 1

Virat Kohli (DNB & 17): Topley victim No.3, also edging. Smart boundary catch to get Overton. 3

Suryakumar Yadav (DNB & 16): Scored a few runs. 3

Rishabh Pant (DNB & 125*): Outstanding with the bat. Calm and mature during his 133-run partnership with Pandya before ramping up the boundary count to win the match in style. 9

Hardik Pandya (4-24): Lethal with the ball, using his bouncers to good effect, and made things happen when called upon. Hugely impressive with the bat, contributing a match-winning 71 off 55. 9.5

Ravindra Jadeja (1-21 & 7*): Two cracking catches in the deep and accounted for Moeen with the ball. Surplus to requirements with the bat with Pant at the other end. 7

Mohammed Shami (0-38 & DNB): Hit and miss with the ball but still finished with respectable figures. 6

Mohammed Siraj (2-66 & DNB): A bright start to dismiss Bairstow and Root but increasingly erratic as the innings progressed. 5.5

Yuzvendra Chahal (3-60 & DNB): Conceded four sixes (as many as the other bowlers combined) but wrapped up the innings nicely. 6

Prasidh Krishna (0-48 & DNB): Solid enough with the ball, if not overly memorable. 5
