England's women have included 20-year-old Mady Villiers in their squad for the three upcoming T20 matches against Australia.

Despite having failed to regain the Ashes after the drawn one-off Test at Taunton, Heather Knight's side face the tourists three more times before the end of July.

Many of the squad which failed to regain the urn are retained, with Villiers the only new face after she impressed against Australia A for the academy side.

Villiers took three wickets to inspire Surrey Stars to victory in last season's Kia Super League final but has impressed with bat and ball this summer.

Linsey Smith and Fran Wilson miss out having featured in the squad which took on West Indies in a three-match T20 series earlier in the year.

"It’s almost like a one-off IT20 series and we need to give it everything across these last three matches," said Knight.

"We came back strongly in Australia in 2017 and it would feel very different if we ended up at 8-8. That has to be our aim now and we want to finish strongly."

Trailing 8-2 in the multi-format series after three one-day internationals and the four-day Test, England can draw level if they prevail in all three T20 games.

The series resumes with the first game at Chelmsford on July 26 before their schedule concludes at Hove (July 28) and Bristol (31 July).
