We certainly need a change. Our white ball exploits have seriously deteriorated over the last few years. Part of that I feel is due to the bland captaincy of Buttler, who has never for me been a good choice. You need a strong personality like Morgan and he doesn't come across that way. Ironically Stokes, a natural white ball cricketer has chosen the red ball format to finish his career and with McCullum has produced probably the most positive mental attitude in world sport, where it's the way you play the game is more important than the result. If cricket is to survive in an increasingly competitive environment for sporting excellence where other sports seem to have gone backwards towards the fear factor where waiting for mistakes rather than imposing yourself has become the order of the day, as this involves risking everything to win. Draws are not on the agenda for Bazball. We need that back in white ball mentality.

Any chance they could draft in Dale Benkenstein? It would make a great number of Lanky supporters very very happy indeed.
