England have announced their travelling party for March's white-ball tour of Bangladesh, with uncapped Somerset batter Tom Abell and teenage allrounder Rehan Ahmed included in both the ODI and T20I squads.

Abell is currently in Sri Lanka with England Lions where he is set to captain the side in an upcoming ODI series. The 28-year-old has scored 649 runs at 30.90 in 26 List A appearances and a further 1,771 runs at a strike rate of 142.26 in 75 T20 outings in his career to date.

For Ahmed this is his maiden call-up for an England white-ball squad. The 18-year-old hit the headlines in December 2022 when he took a five-for on his Test debut and is currently in the UAE representing Gulf Giants in the ILT20.

Saqib Mahmood is another notable addition, earning a spot in the ODI squad as he continues his return from a back injury sustained last May. His most recent international white-ball outing came back in January 2022 against West Indies.

In total, 12 players have been included in both squads. Mahmood, Jason Roy and James Vince will play in the ODIs only while Ben Duckett, Will Jacks and Chris Jordan will take part in the T20I leg.

England are scheduled to play three ODIs against Bangladesh between March 1-6 and a further three T20Is between March 9-14. The series will be split between Dhaka (four matches) and Chattogram (two matches).
