On April 15, English cricket was plunged into a period of mourning after the announcement of the passing of Kent legend 'Deadly' Derek Underwood.

The left-arm spinner took an incredible 2,465 wickets in 676 first-class matches, including 297 in 86 Tests for England between 1966 and 1982.

To pay tribute to the life and impact of Underwood, The Cricketer magazine editor Huw Turbervill spoke with esteemed cricket writer Paul Edwards about his memories of one of England's finest.
