England batsman Jonny Bairstow has been reprimanded by the ICC after a stump microphone picked up obscene language during the final T20 international against New Zealand on Sunday.

Bairstow could clearly be heard shouting "f*** off" in the aftermath of his seventh-over dismissal to Jimmy Neesham, a breach of article 2.3 of the global governing body's code of conduct.

The opener accepted the charge and subsequent sanction immediately after the game, thereby avoiding a formal hearing.

He avoided the maximum penalty for a level-one breach of the code of conduct - a 50 per cent of match fee fine and two demerit points - and has instead been given a single demerit point.

Bairstow made a flashbang 47 in 18 balls as England eventually won the dramatic clash in Auckland after a Super Over.
