What is it?

The second match of the Test series between England and West Indies.

When is it?

Where is it?

Trent Bridge in Nottingham will play host to its first men's international game of the summer during this second Test match.

Who's got the form?

England dominated the first match of the series to win by an innings and 114 runs over West Indies at Lord's.

The win was so comfortable for England that the expectation is more of the same will take place at Trent Bridge.

However, it is not all doom and gloom for the West Indies as they also lost the first test in Australia before roaring back with a famous win at the Gabba in their most recent series.

Gus Atkinson was the star of the show for England but will do well to better or even replicate his 12-wicket haul on Test debut in the first Test.

The much heralded West Indies bowling attack looked short of overs except for Jayden Seales and Jason Holder, who both played county cricket earlier this summer. The rest of the attack will hope to have gained valuable fitness from their run out at Lord's.

What's the squad news?

For England, Mark Wood returns to the squad to replace the retiring James Anderson. The seamer played his 188th and final Test match at Lord's but will stay with the squad for the rest of the summer as the bowling consultant.

It remains to be seen whether Wood plays the second Test as he has not bowled with a red ball since the fifth Test of the India tour in Dharmashala on March 11. A debut for Dillon Pennington on his home ground or a return to the side for Matthew Potts are the alternatives to replace Anderson.

The West Indies squad is unchanged but they may consider replacing Shamar Joseph, who left the field a few times with tightness in his legs having been resigned to a bit-part in the T20 World Cup and missing the warm-up game against the County Select XI due to a hurricane.

Gudakesh Motie was the pick of the bowlers, bowling Ben Stokes and Joe Root in England's innings, and he looks set to be favoured again ahead of the other spinner and superior batter Kevin Sinclair.

England: Ben Stokes, Gus Atkinson, Shoaib Bashir, Harry Brook, Zak Crawley, Ben Duckett, Dan Lawrence, Dillon Pennington, Ollie Pope, Matthew Potts, Joe Root, Jamie Smith, Chris Woakes, Mark Wood

West Indies: Kraigg Brathwaite (Captain), Alick Athanaze, Joshua Da Silva, Jason Holder, Kavem Hodge, Tevin Imlach, Alzarri Joseph, Shamar Joseph, Mikyle Louis, Zachary McCaskie, Kirk McKenzie, Gudakesh Motie, Jeremiah Louis, Jayden Seales, Kevin Sinclair

What is the weather forecast?

There are yellow weather warnings for rain for the next two days in Nottingham but that is set to pass by the time the match starts with a dry first two days in store. There are some showers forecast for day three but they will hopefully be light enough not to cause too much disruption.

What are the odds?

After England's big win at Lord's, they are 1/6 favourites to win the second Test with a draw between the sides at 17/2 while a West Indies win is at 12/1.

Joe Root is the 6/1 favourite to be the Player of the Match while Alzarri Joseph and Motie and equal at 3/1 to be the highest wicket takers for their side.
