Jofra Archer and Ben Stokes opt-out of the 50-over matches. The entire party will depart from London on November 16
England have announced their squads for the upcoming white-ball tour of South Africa.
Ben Stokes, who hasn't played international cricket since August, returns to the T20 group but he and Jofra Archer, two of 10 Englishmen to feature in the Indian Premier League, will skip the one-day internationals.
Sam Curran will also be rested for next month's ODIs.
The hastily-arranged tour brought forward from next year sees South Africa and England face off on three T20s on November 27, 29 and December 1.
Both nations will then contest a trio of ODIs on December 1, 4 and 6. All matches will take place in Cape Town and behind closed doors.
The 15-man T20 group sees Joe Denly miss out but there is a return for Reece Topley who was named as a reserve for the Pakistan series in the summer.
Liam Livingstone is back in the ODI fold after also being a reserve in the summer. Tom Banton has been dropped to the support group alongside Jake Ball and the uncapped Tom Helm.
Ball, whose last international outing came in 2018, was the leading wicket-taker in last season's T20 Blast for eventual winners Notts Outlaws.
Liam Livingstone is edging closer to an international return
Helm meanwhile claimed 27 wickets in the last two editions of the Blast and has made 13 outings for England Lions.
The matches represent England's second batch of white-ball series in South Africa in 2020. The ODIs were squared 1-1 before Eoin Morgan's men won the T20 clashes 2-1.
