The 33-year-old was named as a reserve for the Australia ODIs but will not be involved in the concluding match of the series
Dawid Malan has returned to Yorkshire and will not feature in the one-day international series decider between England and Australia on Wednesday (September 16) at Emirates Old Trafford.
The 33-year-old had been named as a reserve for the series after some impressive performances in the T20s but has not featured in either of the opening two ODIs.
He has therefore returned to Headingley and could play for Yorkshire in the T20 Blast against Lancashire Lightning.
The Vikings are fourth in the North Group with four games remaining.
Meanwhile, England and Australia are locked at 1-1 heading into the final 50-over match on Wednesday.
