ENGLAND
Jason Roy (101): Driving beautifully from the off, Roy punched in what should have been his third hundred of the series after missing out at Trent Bridge. Stunning boundary catch. 9
Jonny Bairstow (79): So much more could be written but all we can think about is that straight drive off Jhye Richardson. Stunning. 8.5
Alex Hales (34*): A lot of pressure to keep up with the top two but didn’t need to go big today. Batted sensibly for the team. 7
Joe Root (0-44 & 27): What a spell with the ball from Rooty! 10 overs, 0-44. Solid by anyone's standards. 8.5
Eoin Morgan (15): A brief cameo with the blade, brave captaincy to bowl Root for so long which paid off big time. 7
Jos Buttler (54*): Typical Buttler, striking at 186.20 to power England home with miles of room to spare. 8.5
Moeen Ali (0-43): No wickets for Moeen today, no need to pad up in the chase. 6
David Willey (4-43): Found himself on a hat-trick at one stage and ended up with four wickets to his name. 7.5
Craig Overton (0-55): First ball cut for four, welcome to ODI cricket. Not a particularly memorable debut, going for 7.85 an over. Played his part in Roy’s catch. 5
Adil Rashid (2-73): A more expensive day at the office for Adil, going for 7.30 an over, doesn’t normally go for so many boundaries. Finch took a liking. 6
Mark Wood (2-49): Two in an over to get Finch and Stoinis. Could make a world of difference to a bowler who has sounded low on confidence. 7.5
Shaun Marsh hit his second hundred of the series
AUSTRALIA
Aaron Finch (100): Reinstated at the top of the pile, got some joy out of Rashid where many before him have failed on his way to an 11th ODI hundred. 9
Travis Head (63): A lovely extra-cover drive early on. Another fifty but fell to spin. Not Adil Rashid’s finest delivery by any stretch, tonked straight to Willey at long-on. 7
Shaun Marsh (101): A quality player, his second hundred of the series but, like Finch, needed to go bigger. 9
Marcus Stoinis (1 & 0-41): Needed to get forward, went back, clean bowled by Wood. Poor dismissal, no real threat with the ball. 2
Alex Carey (6): Couldn’t make much of an impact as Australia’s innings stalled. 3
Tim Paine (3): The captain is lacking form. No runs again and a poor drop behind the stumps. 2
Ashton Agar (19 & 2-48): Proving himself to be a useful white-ball player. A clever delivery to get the sweeping Root. 6.5
Michael Neser (2 & 0-74): No scalps. 8.53 an over. Not a great return. Paine’s drop of Hales off his bowling a hammer to the shins. 3
Jhye Richardson (5* & 0-58): Richardson expensive again. The youngster perhaps a little out of his depth against this line-up. 3
Nathan Lyon (3* & 1-38): Bairstow welcomed him with a four first ball. Kept it relatively tight and removed the rampant Roy. 7
Billy Stanlake (1-54): Not exactly cheap but produced some really decent deliveries along the way. 6
