ENGLAND

Emma Lamb (65; 3-42): Has looked completely at home since coming into the England team this summer; earned her player-of-the-series gong with a hundred and two half centuries, as well as taking three important wickets with her useful off-spin 8.5

Tammy Beaumont (119): A superb ton in the first game after losing her spot in England's T20 squad; fell with more than 16 overs remaining, which spoke to her dominance up to that point 9

Sophia Dunkley (51): Her move to No.3 has been totally vindicated, carrying on from where England's openers have left off with her aggression all around the wicket 7

Heather Knight (63): A slight surprise to see her come out at No.4 but went through the gears nicely and was particularly brutal through the offside 8

Danni Wyatt (33): Terrific cameo from the former opener, whose value in this role – with a platform built for her – has been seen immediately 6.5

Amy Jones (9): Kept tidily as ever; run out pushing for late runs 4

Alice Davidson-Richards (2*; 3-35): Caught both Tryon and Kapp to end South Africa's belated resistance, and snuck in to take three wickets late in the piece 6

Charlie Dean (0; 3-42): Bowled beautifully in Sophie Ecclestone's absence, taking the key wicket of Wolvaardt to set England on their way 7.5

Kate Cross (2*; 0-50): Unusually expensive with the ball on an excellent pitch, where she struggled to stem the flow of runs 3

Issy Wong (1-50): Ought to have had Tryon caught at fine leg but was dropped by Bell; returned after an expensive start to clean up Ismail 4

Lauren Bell (0-42): Dropped a sitter but gave England more control through the powerplay than her fellow seamers 4

SOUTH AFRICA

Andrie Steyn (12): Has made starts all series but has struggled for a significant score, yorking herself as she advanced to Dean 3

Laura Wolvaardt (56): Glorious for as long as it lasted, punching beautifully through the off-side and down the ground; missed a sweep to Dean and was palpably lbw 7

Lara Goodall (24): Has looked a fine player through the last month without pushing on; once again started well and played authoritative shots before plinking to mid-on 5

Sune Luus (9): Had a poor afternoon as captain and then fell cheaply to Lamb; made several curious calls in the field, beginning at her decision at the toss 2

Marizanne Kapp (62; 0-32): Everything that some of her teammates have not been in this series, in her defiance and counterattacking; batted beautifully in partnership with Tryon 7

Chloe Tryon (70; 0-58): Having an excellent series individually and continued her fine form here, hitting three sixes in her 70 as she took on England's bowlers 7.5

Nadine de Klerk (4; 0-87): A poor outing for the allrounder, who was overbowled and expensive 2

Trisha Chetty (6): Kept well for the most part but missed a straightfoward runout chance just as South Africa got particularly ragged 4

Shabnim Ismail (6; 1-54): Only bowled seven overs and began proceedings with a front-foot no-ball, which set the tone for South Africa's poor day 3

Ayabonga Khaka (1; 0-64): The best of South Africa's seamers, though wicketless 4

Nonkululeko Mlaba (0*; 1-68): Dismissed Beaumont, enticing her to run past one that spun a touch as she looked to take the game to the left-arm spinner 4
