Harry Brook is the future and my view is that he should be vice-captain to Ben Stokes in the Test side now. I worry about Ollie Pope and the question of consistency. He is not a good starter and I am not convinced that his position in the Test side is secure. Part of the problem is that he is not a Number 3. Who is though? It is a problem position and perhaps Brook should have a run in this position in Pakistan and New Zealand.
