Where is the match being played?

Who's got form?

This is both sides' first game of the new Indian Premier League season. Lucknow Super Giants will be hoping to build on a successful 2022 season, during which they reached the playoffs. They comfortably beat Delhi Capitals in each of the teams' two meetings last term.

Delhi will be hoping to bounce back from a below average performance last season, when they finished in fifth to miss out on the playoffs, having won the title in 2021.

What's the team news?

Lucknow Super Giants will be without South African opener and wicketkeeper Quinton De Kock for this first match due to international commitments.

Delhi Capitals have had to deal with captain Rishabh Pant being ruled out for the season following his car accident in December. David Warner takes the reins. Anrich Nortje and Lungi Ngidi are expected to miss out.

What's the key matchup?

LSG captain KL Rahul made 616 runs from his 15 matches last season, more than anyone in the competition bar Jos Buttler. He will need to replicate that form again if his team are to make a flying start. With regular opening partner de Kock missing, Delhi Capitals could open the game up quickly by removing Rahul cheaply.
