Team news will be updated as it is announced by the respective counties.

North Group

Derbyshire v Durham

Where: 3aaa County Ground

When: Wednesday May 23, 11.00am BST start

Team news: Derbyshire look set to name the same squad as that which travelled to Worcester including the all-international pace quartet of Duanne Olivier, Hardus Viljoen, Ravi Rampaul and Safyaan Sharif while Durham head coach Jon Lewis is also expected to keep faith with his squad despite two chastening defeats so far.

Form: The home side will come into the game on Wednesday in decent, but not spectacular form, after winning one and losing one in their first two fixtures in the competition. Defeat by 50 runs to Worcestershire followed a record-breaking victory in their opening fixture over Warwickshire, scoring their highest ever 50-over score of 357 for eight as they won by 57 runs.

For Durham, it has been a far leaner time. Two defeats out of two by a combined margin of 334 runs make for grim reading and displays that they are coming into the game in terrible form.

The contest between the two sides in the 2017 tournament ended in a no result as rain washed out the match with Durham 194 for two off 34 overs in a reduced 43 overs-a-side match.

Team news: Leicestershire captain Michael Carberry looks set to name the same XI after winning their only game in the competition to date. Nottinghamshire also look like they will name an unchanged squad with overseas Ross Taylor available and former England international Samit Patel and Jake Ball also fit.

Form: The Grace Road hosts were victorious in their one and only fixture to date, beating Northamptonshire by 72 runs after a century from Paul Horton, leaving the side in second in the North Group so far. Nottinghamshire, having won one and lost one, sit eighth after beating Lancashire by eight runs in their campaign opener before suffering defeat to Northamptonshire by 49 runs.

In 2017, Nottinghamshire comfortably defeated Leicestershire at John Fretwell Sporting Complex by six wickets.

Team news: Both teams are expected to name unchanged squads after solid starts to their Royal London One-Day Cup campaigns.

Form: Northamptonshire, despite a poor start in Championship cricket, have started modestly in the Royal London One-Day Cup, winning one match and losing the other including impressively defeating last year’s winners Nottinghamshire by 49 runs on Sunday. Lancashire currently sit top of the North Group after also winning one and losing the other of their matches so far – demolishing Durham by 192 runs after succumbing to Nottinghamshire.

Thanks to an unbeaten 109 from Alex Wakely, Northants defeated Lancashire by six wickets in 2017.

Yorkshire v Worcestershire

Form: Hosts Yorkshire have opened their campaign with a dominant 142-run win over Durham and a five wicket defeat at the hands of Warwickshire. On the other hand, visitors Worcestershire have played just one match in the tournament so far and they were efficient in a 50 run win over Derbyshire.

In their 2017 fixture, now Yorkshire batsman Tom Kohler-Cadmore got one over on the team he would later join as he scored 118, helping Worcestershire to a 51-run win over the White Rose.

South Group

Hampshire v Essex

Team news: Hosts Hampshire look set to name an unchanged team after beating Surrey on Monday, with England spinner Mason Crane now back fit again for selection and taking wickets. Essex, though, have called up Netherlands international bowler Shane Snater after the Zimbabwe-born man impressed on trial at the club while all-rounder Callum Taylor is also included with Jamie Porter given a rest while young paceman Aaron Beard is due to get overs under his belt for Essex Second XI.

Form: Hampshire have won both of their games so far, defeating Sussex in a nervy finish by two wickets before, on Monday, beating Surrey in a rain-affected match by four wickets.

Meanwhile, visitors Essex have won one game and lost one so far, beating Middlesex by six wickets before being beaten by four wickets at the hands of Gloucestershire last time out.

In 2017, 4-41 from Neil Wagner helped Essex to a 25-run victory over Hampshire at Chelmsford.

Surrey v Gloucestershire

Team news: After his stint in the IPL, Jason Roy has been named in the 13-man squad for the hosts while Gloucestershire have brought Craig Miles into their touring party as a means to give them an extra bowling option.

Form: Surrey have kicked off their Royal London One-Day Cup poorly, falling at the hands of Hampshire in a rain-affected game on Monday after suffering a demolishing eight wicket defeat to Somerset in their opening fixture, leaving them bottom of the South Group.

Gloucestershire are in good form in the competition’s early stages, sitting second in the table after two victories over Glamorgan, by eight wickets, and Essex, by four wickets.

The fixture was abandoned without a ball being bowled in Bristol in 2017 after heavy rain meant that both teams were forced to settle for one point.

Glamorgan v Middlesex (D/N)

Where: Sophia Gardens

When: Wednesday May 23, 2.00pm BST start

Team news: In Glamorgan’s only change from their last game against Gloucestershire, Ruaidhri Smith has been added to the 13-man squad. For Middlesex, they look set to name the same side that bested Kent on Sunday.

Form: The hosts come into the game having lost both of their opening two matches of the campaign, to Gloucestershire by eight wickets and to Somerset by 83 runs. The visitors, have more middling form after registering one win and one defeat from their two games. Middlesex defeated Kent by 70 runs after a six wicket defeat to Essex on the opening day of the competition.

Last year, Middlesex were victorious over Glamorgan by 16 runs at Radlett with Steven Finn’s 4-39 doing the damage to the Welsh side.
