Liam Livingstone hit 214 not out for Cheadle on Saturday
A very public plea for a game has paid dividends for Liam Livingstone, as the Lancashire captain returned from a broken thumb to score a brutal double century in club cricket.
Livingstone has been sidelined since late July after sustaining the injury during his county's Championship clash with Yorkshire at Old Trafford but is targeting a return before the end of the summer.
As part of his rehab, the batsman went in search of a Premier League outing in a sub pro capacity, posting his availability on social media earlier this week.
Cheadle, of the North Staffs and South Cheshire League, picked up on the appeal and handed him a spot in their XI for the clash with Barlaston after their prolific pro Ali Khan returned to Pakistan.
Looking to play a game of club cricket on Saturday... Is there any clubs looking for a sub pro? Please get in touch if so!

And it has proven to be mutually beneficial for the two parties, as Livingstone smashed 214 not out on debut.
The 25-year-old faced just 125 balls as Cheadle racked up 354 for three declared in 40 overs, clattering 19 boundaries and clearing the ropes on 13 occasions.
Livingstone shared in a partnership of 172 for the third wicket with Thomas Degg, who made 68, and then an unbroken stand worth 114 for the fourth with Jack Hassall. Hassall's contribution was 14.
Cheadle will also have the England international at their disposal on Sunday, when they take on Porthill Park in the Talbot Cup final.
