Marcus Stoinis has signed for Kent
Kent have added to their overseas arsenal for this year's T20 Blast with the signing of Australian allrounder Marcus Stoinis.
Stoinis, who has significant experience in the world of franchise T20 having played for Melbourne Stars, Delhi Daredevils and King's XI Punjab over the course of his career, joins New Zealand seamer Adam Milne in the county's squad for the 2018 competition.
The 28-year-old averages 21.43 with the bat, with a strike rate of 118.68, and boasts an economy rate with the ball of 8.41 in all T20 matches.
He said: “I’m looking forward to returning to Kent to play in the Vitality Blast.
“It will be my first taste of county cricket and I can’t wait to play under the lights at the Spitfire Ground.”
Director of cricket Paul Downton said: “Marcus is a dynamic cricketer who will add depth to our batting and bowling in the Vitality Blast.
“He has T20 experience in a number of overseas competitions and his recent white-ball form for Australia has been impressive. He is a match-winner and I’m delighted he will be joining us this summer."
