If you thought Tom Kohler-Cadmore's diving grab was a spectacular way to win a competition, then you should see the final gameweek manager Ben Wickett had to wrap up the Cricket Draft's 2023 T20 Blast game.

Picking a team for Finals Day that included Daniel Sams, Matt Henry and Kohler-Cadmore himself, Ben's Sticky Wickett side accumulated a massive 1,130 points to leapfrog to the top of the leaderboard when it mattered – despite being cost 12 points by captaining Will Jacks – ending at the very top of a record number of entries for the Blast Cricket Draft game.

Ben Wickett said: "Tactics-wise, I knew I wanted Vince in my team having seen him smack it around last season, he was my captain most weeks.

"Come finals day I wanted to hedge my bets on an Essex/Somerset final (picking eight players from these two teams) and luckily it all came together nicely."

"Somerset were clearly deserved champions, with three of their players (Matt Henry, Will Smeed and Ben Green making it in the top 10 points scorers," said John Welch, the game's co-founder.

"Essex Eagles' Daniel Sams was the standout player, scoring 2296 points - a huge 572 points ahead of his nearest competitor, Will Jacks.

"But there’s always a breakout star and this year it was Birmingham Bears' Dan Mousley, who certainly lived up to his all-rounder tag with 263 runs, 21 wickets and 14 catches."
