Jason Roy is set to make his debut in the Caribbean Premier League after signing for the Trinbago Knight Riders.

The England batter's appointment has been unveiled by the Trinidad & Tobago-based franchise, who have confirmed an initial squad of 15 players for the 2024 edition of the tournament.

Australian batter Tim David has also signed for the Knight Riders, having previously played in the CPL for Saint Lucia Kings, while Irish left-arm seamer Josh Little also joins the team to make his bow in the competition.

USA international Ali Khan and Afghanistan spinner Waqar Salamkheil will return to the franchise.

The Knight Riders have also retained the core of West Indian players that took them to the final at the 2023 tournament including Andre Russell, Kieron Pollard, Sunil Narine and Nicholas Pooran.

Two emerging player spots will now be left to fill for Trinbago at the CPL draft in July.
