Every game in the 2021 Caribbean Premier League is being held at Warner Park on St Kitts, in an effort to minimise the Covid-19 risk to the tournament.
Barbados Royals go into this one with just one victory to their name in six outings in this year's Caribbean Premier League.
There is hope for Royals fans, however, given that win came in their most recent encounter.
Guyana Amazon Warriors were the defeated party, just three days after the same opponents mauled the Royals by nine wickets.
Nyeem Young took 3 for 24 as Barbados comfortably defended their total of 185 for 8, winning by 45 runs.
Trinbago Knight Riders, meanwhile, are unbeaten in their last four - three wins and a tie with Guyana. TKR beat Jamaica Tallawahs twice in 48 hours recently and with eight points from their seven fixtures are well in the post-season mix.
Azam Khan leads the way with the bat for Barbados Royals in the 2021 CPL.
Khan, ranked 352nd in the men's T20 Player Index, has 157 runs at a strike rate of 138 for Barbados this season and tops the franchise's runscoring charts ahead of Glenn Phillips and Johnson Charles.
No Barbados batsman has a better average than 27 in this year's competition.
With the ball, Mohammad Amir leads the Royals' wicket-taking charts with six so far. Amir's economy rate of 5.51 is considerably better than his closest teammate's (Oshane Thomas with 7.21).
For Trinbago Knight Riders, four batsmen are in the top 14 runscorers in the competition - prior to Wednesday's action.
Kieron Pollard has 169 at 42, with a 144 strike rate.
With the ball, Ravi Rampaul's 17 wickets sees him lead the overall standings in the CPL.

Sadly, no. Morning matches are played behind closed doors while 50 per cent of the ground's capacity can be filled with fans in the evening.
No rain forecast, with temperatures hovering around 32 degrees Celsius. Plenty of cloud cover could make the ball do a bit, but rain is highly unlikely.
