Thilan Walallawita has signed a contract extension with Middlesex which will keep him at Lord's until at least 2024.
The Colombo-born spinner, now registered as a local player after being granted British citizenship earlier this year, has made 34 appearances across all formats for Middlesex, taking 26 wickets.
He was used sporadically during the Royal London Cup and LV= Insurance County Championship in 2022, making five appearances across both competitions, but was a regular starter in the club's T20 Blast campaign, taking eight wickets, including best figures of 3 for 18 against Glamorgan, in 13 outings.
Walallawita also impressed for the 2nd XI last season, taking 24 wickets at 21.12 in seven Championship outings.

Commenting on committing his future to Middlesex, the 24-year-old said: "Having been at Middlesex since a youngster it has always been my dream to play professionally for the club and I am delighted to extend my contract for a further two years.
"Everyone at the club has been extremely supportive of me and the journey I have been on to qualify as a local cricketer, and I am really looking forward to being able to repay the faith they have shown in me.
"It is an honour to play for such a club, especially at Lord's, and I am excited to now be able to focus on cementing my place in the side in all formats and to contributing to our success moving forward."
Head of men's performance, Alan Coleman, added: "We are really pleased to have secured Thilan's services for the next two years and are very much looking forward to seeing him develop as a cricketer over the coming seasons.
"He is such a popular member of the dressing room here and offers us a huge amount both off and on the field.
"Thilan is an immense talent, and a real prospect, and we couldn’t be happier that he has committed the next phase of his career to Middlesex cricket."
