The Hundred player draft, the first in British sporting history, has been confirmed for October 20.
The team names for the 100-ball competition will also be confirmed during a ceremony which will be broadcast live on Sky Sports.
Men and women's teams will be created from eight cities across England and Wales for the new format which the ECB hopes will draw a new audience to cricket.
ECB chief executive Tom Harrison said: “The Hundred is an exciting new cricket competition that we hope will grow our wonderful sport even further.
"Fans can enjoy some of the world’s biggest names playing for eight brand new cricket teams across men and women’s competitions. "
