Sussex wicketkeeper Oli Carter has signed a two-year contract extension with the county, following in the footsteps of fellow youngsters Jack Carson and Henry Crocombe.
Carter, 21, is one of several academy graduates to have come through the club's system and into the senior side over the last few years.
Having made a career-best 185 against Glamorgan last summer, Carter has enjoyed a breakthrough campaign this time around.
He is averaging 46.4 in the County Championship, with five fifties to his name, and made his highest T20 score earlier this summer despite the loan arrival of wicketkeeper Michael Burgess from Warwickshire.
"It's a really exciting time for the club and hopefully I can contribute and help the team to win more games," he said.

"The club means a lot to me as I've been here my whole life and I can't wait to crack on."
Sussex head coach Paul Farbrace praised Carter for his "great progress" in both departments, adding: "He epitomises everything you want young professional cricketers to show; hard work, guts, determination, a desire to get better and of course, skill.
"All the coaches who have worked closely with Oli of the last few years are enjoying watching him have the success he deserves because they have all seen the determination he shows daily."
