Chris Wright will move to Sussex from 2024 after turning down a contract offer at Leicestershire.
Wright, 37, will bring nearly 600 first-class wickets and a wealth of experience with him to Hove. He will play for Sussex past his 40th birthday after signing a two-year deal.
The seamer is also handy with the bat, and will play a pivotal role in helping mentor the youthful element in the Sussex squad.

"I have long admired the club and am looking forward to contributing to its future success," he said.
"Speaking to Paul Farbrace and having played against the team a number of times I am excited to be joining such a talented and ambitious group. Hopefully, I will take lots of wickets and provide some valuable experience to the team."
Wright is one of three players confirmed as leaving Leicestershire at the end of the campaign.

Colin Ackermann and Callum Parkinson are also on their way from Grace Road, with Durham expected to be their destination.
All three will continue to play for the East Midlands club for the remainder of the 2023 season, with Leicestershire director of cricket Claude Henderson insisting their focus will not be affected by their imminent departures.
He said in a statement: "All three remain 100 per cent committed to the club until the end of the season and will play key parts in our ambitions of achieving success in the County Championship and One-Day Cup.
