The Division One leaders put on the highest innings score without a batter reaching a century as seven players hit fifties at Beckenham
Surrey's failure to register a century during their record-breaking first innings against Kent has been described as "probably not the best stat".
The LV= Insurance County Championship Division One leaders put on 671 for 9 declared at Beckenham, the highest score without a single-player bringing up three figures.
Seven of their line-up brought up their half-century but none could convert, with three getting out in the 90s.
Ollie Pope (96), Ben Foakes (91) and Jamie Overton (93) were among those to fall short.
Overton's failure came on day two after he was bowled by George Linde, who was among four Kent bowlers who went for 100 runs or more.

Indeed, Kent have now conceded 500 runs or more in every first innings so far this season.
"I just saw it (the record) on Twitter a couple of balls before we got it, I wasn’t aware of it," Overton, who put on 126 with Sam Curran for the sixth wicket, said according to the ECB Reporters' Network.
"It’s probably not the best stat for us as players because we all want to get those hundreds but it’s nice to get some runs on the board.
"It’s a good wicket, we know it’s going to be a hard couple of days but we’ve set out to bat once and bat big once and try and bowl them out twice in two days.
"We’ve made a good start and there’s a little bit of spin there for Jacko so if the seamers can put it in the right area as well we’ve got every chance."
