Surrey treasurer Martin Eadon has filled the void in the interim, and will do so until the spring to allow for a structure search for Richard Thompson's successor
Surrey have confirmed how the club will identify Richard Thompson's replacement as chair.
Thompson left the Kia Oval after 12 years in the role at the start of the month, having been appointed to the equivalent position at the ECB.
Surrey treasurer Martin Eadon has filled the void, and will do so until the spring to allow for a structure search for Thompson's successor.
Eadon will also chair a nominations committee, comprising of board and general committee members, which will take on the task of making a recommendation.

Surrey will use an external corporate headhunter to broaden the scope of their hunt, which the club say will be "thorough and inclusive".
A new chair-elect is expected to be in place for the 2023 domestic summer, with a formal ratification via a members' ballot at the 2024 annual general meeting.
With Eadon filling in as interim chair, Warwick Jones - who sits on the club's audit, risk and governance committee, will take on treasurer responsibilities over the coming months.
