Conor McKerr has re-joined Kent on loan for two County Championship matches.

He will be available for this week's clash at Warwickshire (April 13) and the visit of Essex (April 20)

The Surrey right-arm fast bowler previously enjoyed a loan stint at the club at the back end of 2022, making first-class appearances against Hampshire and Somerset.

McKerr's arrival follows Grant Stewart being forced out of the seven-wicket win against Northamptonshire last week with a tight side.

Born in South Africa, McKerr signed for Surrey in 2016 with the hope of qualifying to play for England.

He made his first-class debut in 2017 while on loan at Derbyshire, taking 10 wickets in just his second red-ball appearance, and made his bow for Surrey later that season.

The 25-year-old was part of the title-winning squad of 2018, taking 13 wickets in his five appearances, including a seven-wicket haul against Nottinghamshire.

However, injuries limited his red-ball opportunities in 2019 to just four matches.

McKerr once again played an understudy role in Surrey's 2022 Championship triumph, chipping in with six wickets in his three appearances before ending the season with Kent.
