Saqib Mahmood has been ruled out of The Hundred after suffering a recurrence of a lumbar stress fracture.
The England fast bowler, who missed much of 2022 with a similar injury, has not played since the end of May.
He featured twice in the County Championship and three times in the T20 Blast this season for Lancashire, having begun his comeback with England Lions in Sri Lanka before featuring once for England in Bangladesh.
The 26-year-old saw a specialist in London and is now set to undergo his latest period of rehabilitation under the supervision of ECB and Lancashire medical staff.

Mahmood was due to represent Oval Invincibles in The Hundred – indeed, he spoke to The Cricketer at a Hundred promotional event earlier this summer.
He has now been replaced in Oval's squad by Surrey seamer Tom Lawes, with Derbyshire quick Zak Chappell and Tawanda Muyeye signed as Invincibles' wildcard picks.
Mahmood is one of several England fast bowlers currently struggling with injuries; Jofra Archer has already been ruled out for the summer, while Brydon Carse and Jamie Overton have both been playing as specialist batters. Olly Stone suffered a knee injury on his return for Nottinghamshire on Friday.
