Paul Nixon has formally left Leicestershire after five-and-a-half years as head coach.
Nixon was placed on leave in June, with the Foxes remaining tight-lipped about the circumstances behind the decision.
Following negotiations behind the scenes, the former England international has now officially stepped down from his role at Grace Road.

Director of cricket Claude Henderson said: "Paul has been a true servant to Leicestershire County Cricket Club since he first joined the club in 1988, in two stints as a player then as head hoach since 2017.”
"He's shown relentless commitment, enthusiasm and passion during his time as head coach and has been a fantastic ambassador for the club. We wish him every success in the next steps of his career."
Nixon, who had pre-empted the official announcement a fortnight ago by changing his social media bio to read "ex-Leicestershire head coach", leaves the club second in Division Two of the County Championship.

The Foxes had a disappointing T20 Blast campaign, however, with just two victories from 14 outings.
In a statement released by Leicestershire, he said: "I am immensely proud of my time at Leicestershire and would like to thank the players, both past and present, staff and most of all the fans for the unconditional support I have received during my tenure.
“The club will always hold a special place in my heart, and I wish them all the best for the future.”
