Paul Coughlin has signed a new contract with Durham, which will keep him at the club until at least the end of the 2024 season.

During his time at Durham, Coughlin has scored 2,358 runs and taken 169 wickets and previously captained the club in the T20 Blast.
His best performances this season have come in the shorter format, with Coughlin contributing 182 runs at a strike rate of 126.38 and 12 wickets.

Commenting on committing his future to Durham, Coughlin said: "I'm really pleased to have signed to stay at Durham for another two years. I love being back at my home club and look forward to what we can achieve over the next few years."
Director of cricket, Marcus North, added: "It's extremely pleasing that Paul has committed his future at Durham with this contract extension. We have seen in recent times how much of a key role Paul can play for us and I look forward to seeing more of this over the coming seasons."
Matt Salisbury, however, will leave the club at the end of the season. The 29-year-old made 38 appearances for Durham across the LV= Insurance County Championship and Royal London Cup, scoring over 350 runs and taking 102 wickets, 90 of which came in first-class cricket.
Salisbury previously represented Essex and Hampshire.
North added: "I wish Matt all the best in his future cricketing endeavours. We are blessed with some talented bowlers at the club and unfortunately, Matt has sometimes found his opportunities limited as a result. We all wish him well in the next stage of his career."
