Part of the Trent Rockets side that won the men's Hundred, he returns to Trent Bridge for a spell as his third different first-class county, having previously represented Worcestershire and Hampshire
Colin Munro will join Nottinghamshire for the entire T20 Blast in 2023.
The New Zealand batter is among the most prolific run-scorers in the format and 12th in the all-time list with 9,195.
A Big Bash League and Caribbean Premier League winner, Munro also has experience in the Indian Premier League and Pakistan Super League.
Last summer he was part of the Trent Rockets side which scooped the men's Hundred title and returns to Trent Bridge - where he averages 61.20 in T20s - seeking further success.

"I'm joining a team which plays an aggressive brand of cricket which suits my style and how I like to go about scoring runs," he said.
"I want to come in and add my experience to what is already a well-oiled machine."
Available for the entire competition, this will be Munro third's spell with a first-class county.
He represented Worcestershire in 2014, 2015 (when he also played a single County Championship match) and 2022 and had a stint with Hampshire in 2018.

Notts are expected to be without Ben Duckett for several rounds of the Blast group phase and the quarterfinals, should they progress. The one-off Test against Ireland (June 1-4) is followed by the men's Ashes against Australia which runs through the second half of June and throughout July.
The club are two-time winners of the Blast in 2017 and 2020.

"We're conscious of the fact that Ben has done really well for England and there's more than a fair chance that we'll miss him for parts of the summer," said head coach Peter Moores.
"That's one of the reasons we wanted to bring Colin in, to make sure we have that wealth of experience to call upon.
"We've also got a lot of players in the group desperate to get into that side and it’s exciting that there’ll be an opportunity there for them as well.
"We've got a proud tradition in T20 cricket and we’re determined to keep that going."
