Australian seamer James Pattinson has re-signed for Nottinghamshire in an all-format deal for the 2022 season.
Pattinson, who previously played for the Outlaws during the 2017 and 2019 seasons, returns to the club having recently called time on his international career.
In October, the 31-year-old announced his decision to step away from Australian selection consideration, having picked up 81 Test wickets in 21 matches at an average of 26.33.

He will now work towards being allowed to take part in county cricket as a domestic player, courtesy of his UK passport, in 2023 and beyond.
Pattinson said: "Once I get that badge back on my chest and the ball in my hand, there’ll be no backward steps taken for sure. It’ll be a case of ripping into the season and giving it everything to win matches for the club."
Nottinghamshire will hope Pattinson can inspire another challenge for honours in red-ball cricket in 2022, but he is also eligible to take part in the T20 Blast and Royal London Cup.
Head coach Peter Moores said: "He proved to be everything we wanted and more, both with his performances on the field and the mark he left on us all as a character and a competitor."
