Commenting on his contract extension, Hammond said: "I'm really excited for the next couple of years here at Glos. It'll be an awesome challenge and one I can't wait to get stuck into.
"This year has been a big learning curve and I'm looking forward to helping us come back stronger as a team next year."
Performance director, Steve Snell, added: "I'm really pleased Miles has decided to extend his contract with the Club. Not only has Miles shown a huge appetite and skill level in the shorter form of the game, he has also shown that over the course of the season, he is committed and very skilled in the red-ball format as well.
"Miles is able to adapt his game in a variety of ways and I've enjoyed observing how well he works with Dale as he keeps on improving in red-ball cricket.
"Miles is a huge part of Gloucestershire's future and I’m sure he's going to have a massive impact across all formats for many years to come."
