Derbyshire will have Mark Watt available for the One-Day Cup and a single LV= Insurance County Championship match.

The 25-year-old took 13 wickets during their run to the T20 Blast quarter-finals, before crashing out at the hands of Somerset. He also played two red-ball games against Middlesex and Sussex.

Watt departed to play for World Cup qualifiers for Scotland, before three white-ball matches against New Zealand in Edinburgh.

But he has agreed to return to Derbyshire for their entire One-Day Cup group stage campaign, which begins against holders Glamorgan on Tuesday (August 2).

He will also remain for the Championship match against Durham starting on September 5.

"I've loved my time back with Derbyshire so far and I’m looking forward to competing in the Royal London Cup," he said.

"Working with Mickey (Arthur), Ajmal (Shahzad, bowling coach) and the coaching team here has really helped my development, and playing more white-ball cricket around the international schedule can only help me ahead of the Twenty20 World Cup at the end of the year."

Head coach Mickey Arthur added: "Mark's intensity and aggression on the field has been a key asset for us so far, and I’m pleased he will be staying with us for the Royal London Cup.

"We're targeting progression from the group and to surprise a few teams and having Mark’s international 50-over experience can only help us."

Watt's availability is subject to Scotland's upcoming schedule. They face United States and United Arab Emirates twice (August 10, 14 and 17) in ICC men's Cricket World Cup League 2 2019-2023.

They are currently second in the table and on course to progress to the main qualifying competition in Zimbabwe next summer.
