Tall and genuinely quick, he adds valuable clout to a Gloucestershire squad which has seen several important players depart recently.
"I am very excited to have committed my long term future with the club," he said. "I really look forward to working with Dale Benkenstein as we have a mutual goal for the future of Gloucestershire. I can't wait to join up with my new teammates, it's a new opportunity for me and my family, and I hope I can contribute in all formats.
"I'm eager to get going, it's a fresh start for me at a new club which is very exciting. I want to help Gloucestershire challenge for silverware and I also want to pass on advice and help the young players who are coming through the ranks."
Playing opportunities for de Lange at Somerset had been limited in 2022, with Peter Siddle and Matt Renshaw occupying two overseas spots on a regular basis.

The club's director of cricket, Andy Hurry, said: "It's been a privilege to have him with us here at Somerset, and since he arrived in 2020 he has giving everything both on and off the field.
"He has been an incredibly popular member of the playing staff and his attitude and calm manner within the dressing room have been extremely valuable.
"He moves onto the next chapter of his playing career with our best wishes to him and his wonderful family, alongside our gratitude for all his contributions over the last couple of seasons."
