The 24-year-old has scored maiden first-class and T20 centuries in 2023 to become a key figure at Grace Road amid an otherwise turbulent campaign
Rishi Patel has signed a new two-year deal at Leicestershire having enjoyed a successful 2023 season.
Maiden first-class and T20 centuries for the former Essex batter have helped him score 1,272 all-format runs this summer.
Patel reached three figures for the first time in the Championship against Yorkshire during the opening round of the campaign and hasn't looked back.
Glamorgan (twice) and Sussex have also been put to the sword by the former Essex batter, who in between added his first Blast ton in victory over Durham.

"I'm very excited to commit myself to the club for another couple of years. Hopefully, we can continue to perform as a team and I'm looking forward to scoring some more runs here," he said.
"I've settled in really well since I arrived. I feel comfortable and have cemented my spot in the team, so those things contribute to making Leicestershire feel like home and it definitely is that now.
"The club has a great culture and with the squad we have, we're starting to build something special, particularly in red-ball cricket.
"I love playing at Grace Road. It's a great surface to bat on, one which will help me to develop and continue performing for Leicestershire."

News of the renewal comes amid a turbulent campaign at Grace Road. Last week saw confirmation of Paul Nixon's departure as head coach, while Colin Ackerman, Callum Parkinson and Chris Wright have all been confirmed to leave at the end of the season.
Director of cricket Claude Henderson added: "We are thrilled Rishi has committed his future to Leicestershire. He has shown what he is capable of so far this season and has fast become a crucial player for us across all three formats.
"He now has a platform to keep developing and delivering match-winning performances for the club, and we can't wait to see that across the next two years at Uptonsteel County Ground."
