Duffy's arrival for County Championship fixtures against Gloucestershire and Surrey comes at an opportune moment, with Kent missing several seamers
Kent have signed New Zealand seamer Jacob Duffy as an overseas player on a short-term deal.
While the 27-year-old remains uncapped at Test level, he was part of the initial enlarged touring party for the current trip to England before being trimmed following the warmup matches.
He has played in four T20Is, most recently in September of last year.
"It's a great opportunity to play some first-class cricket and I'm looking forward to getting going with Kent," said Duffy.
Kent director of cricket Paul Downton added: "It's a very busy part of the season with Championship matches intermingled with the Vitality Blast. Jacob will strengthen our seam attack at this crucial stage of our Championship campaign."

Darren Stevens, Nathan Gilchrist and Harry Podmore are all currently unavailable, while Jackson Bird – who Duffy is effectively replacing – suffered a shoulder problem early in his overseas stint and has since returned to Australia.
Matt Henry, Duffy's fellow New Zealander, is due to arrive following the conclusion of the Test series. He previously represented the county in 2018.
